Rounded Corners Sketchbook April – May 2026

This is actually only one of two sketchbooks I filled during April and May. The other one has a lot more pages so may take a little longer to scan in. I then have two full sketchbooks for June and July so far, I’ve started another and it’s only just over half way through the month. I’m also working on a large collage piece but we’re now in school summer holidays so I’m not likely to finish that until September. This sketchbook was shared with the child. It made for some interesting collaborations. Especially as said child is a regular subject of sketches. And then I discovered drawing with coloured pencil and everything changed. Drawing with coloured pencil is honestly my favourite thing now, especially if I can use a surprising colour for outlines like this beautiful orangey red. Occasionally old photos turn up on my phone in an “on this day” style. They make a perfect drawing exercise because you never know what you might get.
