Re: Your RSS Reader Is Robbing You 3 ▲ Christian Cleberg 2 hours ago · Tech · hide · 1 comments To summarize my answer to Antonio's post: good! I don't read posts in my feed reader to look at styles, I do it to consume content - to read their thoughts. I use my feed reader because it's configured exactly how I like it. The colors are tweaked to a palette that's pleasing to my eyes and doesn't cause strain. The font family, font size, and other elements are customizable and configured exactly how I like them. I can't tell you how many times I've opened a great blog post and struggled to read it and had to enable Reader Mode in my browser just to get through it. HTML is great because it's a structured markup where we can disregard the web server's custom styles and apply our own. In fact, there are whole communities around custom style sheets to mold the web into your own comfortable space. Sure, there are great looking blogs out there. But honestly? There are far more poorly-styled blogs or blogs that are fine, but conflict with my own sense of style or eye comfort. Keep it up,… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse.
