Echo And The Bunymen – “Brussels Is Haunted”

Echo & The Bunnymen return with “Brussels Is Haunted” The Bunnymen are back with their first new music in over a decade, and I really didn’t expect it to be this good. Reports of the demise of Ian McCulloch’s voice, it turns out, have been much exaggerated. The first single from their forthcoming album Apples For Isaac, the sublime “Brussels Is Haunted,” sees the band defying gravity; this is classic Bunnymen, with Mac and Will Sergeant, and the rest of the band, very much on form. They’ve been out on tour of late, and reports from audiences have been, shall we say, mixed. But like George Best, when Mac is on form, it can still be magical. After all, stars are stars. Set for release on September 18th, 2026 via BMG, Apples For Isaac is the band’s 13th studio album and their first set of newly written material in twelve years, following 2014’s Meteorites and the 2018 retrospective The Stars, The Oceans & The Moon.
