Most Christians have never Accepted your Theology 0 ▲ David McGee 2 hours ago · Writing · hide · 0 comments In theological discussions, people will often say "most Christians accepted such and such a theological position" or "most Christians read this part of the Bible such and such a way." But this is rarely true. Throughout history, the vast majority of Christians have been illiterate, and thus had no chance to read the Bible. Of course, most of them heard plenty of it in church, but who knows how much attention they paid to it or what they thought about it. And I seriously doubt most of them have been terribly interested in theology. Most Christians today, even very religious ones, have minimal interest in theology. Theology is written by and for weird nerds (as it was in the brginning, is now, and ever shall be). No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
