When All Else Fails Do Dumb Work 1 ▲ Kai Gulliksen 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments I try my best to do something creative every day. Some days I get to spend hours in front of the computer working on art, other times I only have a few minutes to scribble a few sentences or to tweak a few vertices. Usually when I sit down I can get at least something done in what ever time I have available to me that day.But there are those days where nothing happens. I stare at the screen trying to force some sort of idea to appear, but there just isn’t anything there. And I know very well that no matter how long I spend in that chair nothing is going to happen. We all have those days. It’s fine. The trick when this happens is to recognize it, get out of the chair, and go do some dumb work. Some no-brain-required work. Go do the dishes, mow the lawn. Something, anything at all besides staring at the screen waiting for something that just isn’t going to happen. All you’ll end up with is being annoyed that you wasted a bunch of time getting nothing at all done.Go get something done… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
