What is Travel Diaries? Travel Diaries is a collection of my adventures on my travels. This is a place-based series around the holiday travel experience. Yes, there are pubs and beer. Football might feature. But the theme of this collection is holidays – and what the places I visit are like, who I meet along the way, things I eat and drink – the full on cultural experience of travel. Why am I writing Travel Diaries? This is a new series that I will be building as the course of my life shifts from being centred around football and pubs to the wider scope of European travel and adventures. My blog has been heavily weighted towards football and pubs as these have been a hugely important part of my life for in excess of 30 years. Whilst pubs in particular are still important to me, despite a recent shift to alcohol-free beer, I have grown to understand that it is the travel itself that I love most of all.
