Walkthrough for Bellingcat's 'Ship Happens' challenge

Hi, welcome to this write-up for the Ship Happens challenge from Bellingcat. Here you can see my thought processes and what steps I took to get to the answer, but of course there are many different ways of reaching the same results. The challengeWe've received someone's travel picture and have to find out the name of the ship that brought the person visible in the picture to the location where the picture is taken. The picture seems to have been taken in some sort of terminal or other place travelers pass through. There are multiple people sitting and walking around with luggage. In the middle is a man, standing next to a life-size camel statue. In the background is a wall of windows, offering no clear view of the outside but rather of something bigger than the windows, with a blue/white pattern and small round windows. A ship? Because I have no knowledge of ships whatsoever, my plan was to first find the picture's location. I hoped that finding the location would lead to a way to…
