Hand-printed signs on the restaurant proclaimed it Now Open. Plastic Pepsi and Coke signs like these were super common during my 1970s kidhood. I have always assumed the soda companies gave them to businesses, or maybe sold them at cost, for the advertising value. I seldom see them anymore. But this one interested me because it’s clearly in good condition — and this new business figured out how to clean off whatever business’s name used to be here, and paint their name on it very professionally.
