Canadian Wildfire Smoke Turned The Sun In New England Red Today

Please enjoy some camera focus adventures (and bonus flowers) This morning, one of the cats was sunbathing in the window and what struck me was the "golden hour" light that was hitting them; usually that's rad as hell and super photogenic but as it was 11am I had a bit of concern. Going outside, I found the sky a shade of brown/orange that can only be described as "Hollywood movie set in Mexico or the Middle East". By about 7pm, we had this blood-red sun in the sky and it looked ominous as fuck: /* image for the RIGHT of the slider*/ /* image for the LEFT of the slider */ Full res: Sun focus | Tree focus Earlier in the day though, I went outside to take a few photos of the flowers (and hopefully birds but that did not materialize) and the orange tint to everything looked kinda cool, even if it was for bad reasons: I don't like that fires happen and it causes massive air pollution but god damn does it look cool. Gotta take your joys where you can get them, y'know?…
