It can be a great way for everyone on your block to get to know one another, welcome newcomers, and improve your neighborhood. Luckily, I had a couple of Canadian Flags to use as decoration. Another thing you might want to consider is making Poutine, the quintessential Canadian comfort food of French Fries, gravy, and cheese curds. Get some chicken for a protein and have some fruits and salads for some sides. Add in some Polar Seltzer (Canada has a lot of land at polar latitudes), some Canada Dry Ginger Ale, and some Moosehead Ale (for those neighbors who like to drink beer), and you have the makings of a party spread of Canadiana that will appeal to your neighbors.
