When trying a new hotel or campground, my general rule is to stay just 1 or 2 nights. Some places don’t give refunds once you’ve paid. By staying 1 or 2 nights, it’s no big deal if it doesn’t work out. My track record is pretty good but sometimes I end up leaving because I just don’t like the place or, more likely, because of my MCS. I booked a new hotel…The extended stay hotel was in Rockford IL. The front desk guy was very friendly. I enjoyed talking to him and had high hopes that I’d found a new place to add to my “Places to Stay” list. When I entered my room…It felt very unwelcoming. Granted, the room looked like it was straight out of the 1950s but the unwelcoming feeling wasn’t its looks… it was just a feeling in the air itself. There was also a slight musty odor hanging in the air. Thankfully, the windows opened so I was able to let some fresh, very humid air inside. I also pulled out my cute little air purifier and put her on high speed. By bedtime…I wasn’t thrilled about…
