Day 149: Perfectly Normal Fireworks Show 0 ▲ dpanphoto 7 days ago · Life · hide · 0 comments 2026-07-05Hello!I photographed the July 4 fireworks at night with a long exposure. Some fireworks gave sparkles of a golden color, and others lit up the night sky with big embers of yellow and blue.Whether the fireworks were timed at the exact right time or the exact wrong time, I haven't decided.Driving out to a shopping mall parking lot, I set up the tripod to be steady. I wanted to capture the firework stars throughout their complete trail. I captured last year's July 4 fireworks event, but I placed my tripod in front of a bright streetlight, which competed for my attention and view. This time, I made the mistake of having a broken camera and not being able to adjust the exposure triangle on this compact camera.Fireworks are awesome. I realize those with pets or young children may have a different opinion, but I got used to the sound before the event started. Many attendees had brought their own (smaller) fireworks and put up an unofficial pre-show in the parking lot!Fortunate… No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse. Comments will appear here.
