A Loving and Well-Loved Man

A couple of weeks ago, one of the best people in our industry passed away. A quiet man of incredible volume, Om Malik was the person whose voice traveled only a few feet but always filled the room. He was the first national reporter to write about our little startup Newsvine in 2005, and for that I will always be indebted to him. Om and Rafat Ali were the two writers I could always count on to ask hard questions and keep founders honest when they tried to describe how they were improving the world. His article was hopeful and optimistic, yet balanced, which happens to describe his personality as well.
