Summer Games Done Quick 2026 took place this past week, and I put together some motion design projects to celebrate! These are not things I made *for* GDQ, though that would be a dream, but rather personal projects inspired by the event that I thought would be fun to work on. This first one is a repurposed version of my recent Now Playing animation, which I thought would fit well as a GDQ graphic. I'm reasonably happy with it—especially the little intro, it really needed something more to set it apart—but I think I prefer the composition of the original. This second one was a totally original project, and I'm much happier with it. It's an homage to both Cable TV Guide channels and also the old Windows Media Center interface. I think it came out looking really clean! I tried adding a horizontal scroll to the longer titles and names getting cut off, but it ended up feeling way too busy.
