On a day out exploring I went to see Coverack. It's coastal village with a fishing harbour on the east side of the Lizard peninsula. It's also got some amazing rocks on the beach and is very interesting geologically. But of course I was looking for cutting inspiration and really wanted to find a photo of the boats that I could use. I love this one because there is so much going on in the water and the colours of the boats at the top add a lovely detail Here's my finished print and here's how I did it. The drawing on the lino. It's not too detailed, it's the plan because I scribble on what I'm going to cut out as I go along this is the 2nd colour the first was a pale yellow the first blue and the 3rd colour of the cloud reflections 5th colour for the buoys 6th colour is another blue and 7th is the base of the shadow reflections 8th a green on the water scribles on lino to cut next blue in the water 9th the 3rd blue 10th on the buoys how the lino is now looking with all the reduction…
