I spent a few hours today playing No Case Should Remain Unsolved, and felt so profoundly moved by it that I had to come and make this blog post. All images courtesy of SOMI Games. I bought it last year while looking for other mystery games after The Curse of the Golden Idol (which I also enjoyed a lot). I can’t remember now how I found No Case Should Remain Unsolved because I don’t think I saw it on a rec list, and I hadn’t played any other game by this dev before, but it probably popped up in the Similar Games list on the Golden Idol page when I was browsing Steam. It was very affordable and highly rated, so I popped it into my cart without thinking twice. I love mysteries in all forms of media. The Ace Attorney series remain my holy grail of mystery games, but generally as long as there’s a strong narrative, interesting characters and some element of puzzle-solving that doesn’t require real-time reflexes (because… I can’t, man), I’ll probably like it.
