Not More Martians?

In the run up to the Season of Scenery painting challenge I’ve been finishing off a few bits and pieces, but have got a bit behind with blog posts. So I’m trying to catch up a bit tonight while I’m watching Norway beat England beat Norway in the World Cup quarter final! Back in February 2024 I wrote a post called “The Last Invaders” and expected it to be the last post I’d write about working on my Martian invaders of Earth! Well, I was wrong! I thought it was about time the Squid invaders got some air support but wasn’t sure how to get it. Fortunately a combination of an Alternative Armies’ alien flyer and a Fighting 15s’ Cephalod infantry figure provided the solution (both being 18mm figures). Basically all I had to do was remove the Cephalod figures’ bases and glue them into the flyers in place of the AA two-man crew. The larger Cephalod fits quite nicely into the crew space.
