Towards a ‘country ramble’ Following on from last month’s instalment, I’m pleased to report that as I write this, the pace of life, projects, work and everything else has settled into something that feels genuinely manageable. Currently, that pace feels like a gentle country ramble with a packed sandwich and a thermos of strong tea. Projects are wrapping up with only a couple of things lined up for the second half of the year. Back at the end of May, this leisurely cadence was almost in reach, but by the beginning of June I was still moving along at a fairly brisk pace. On one side of the month there were a couple of things that were going to consume my time and energy – a performance and a short trip to Singapore. On the other side of the month, the tantalising glimpse of a welcome expanse; the likes of which I hadn’t seen for some time. The blog format is a bit different this month, consisting of two monolithic chunks of text. However, each of these has been broken into digestible…
