Closing down the studio 0 ▲ the last word 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments On Monday, I met my camera dealer at my studio, and we made arrangements to remove all the photography gear. It took him five hours to pack it all up, but it’s gone now. I kept the gear that I’m using at home: a Z8 system, and much of my GFX and X2D stuff. But all the tech cameras but one are on their ways to new homes, along with LED and strobe lighting equipment, tripods, head, copy stands, lenses, light modifiers, and cases. I rented the place a little over three years ago, when I still had hopes of regaining enough ability to work alone there. But I never got to that point, and, rather have the gear sit there collecting dust while I write rent checks, I’ve decided to close it down. I’ll still be doing the work that I can do at home: macro, portraits, reportage. It’s not what I would have wished for, but I’ve gotten used to the idea, and in reality, it’s not much of a change from where I was last week, except I now realize that door is closed. The post Closing down the studio first… No comments yet.
