Updates

I haven’t finished many posts lately, but I have been deploying small style updates the last few weeks. I had updated the background of the header/menu a while ago with this vector leaf pattern, and changed the highlight colors from a green palette to a pink one. Then I changed it to cover the whole homepage. It was actually the pink in this image that inspired the color change. I’ve removed drop-shadows from images, as they did not look as good in dark mode. I rarely use dark mode (bad eyes) so it sometimes gets neglected. I’ve also updated the aside element with the same striped background I’ve had on the menu items for a while. The previous iteration was a vector OS window frame, which was a little heavy-handed. I tweaked the post and page footers as well. I added more links the blogroll and about pages. I used the robot to improve the build times of the site, mostly via fixing up my hand-written plugins and liquid tags, something I immediately added a disclaimer about to the top…
