Croissant siege 0 ▲ What the Fran 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments The first night we were camping we packed up pretty well but it was hot, we were tired, and there was zero chance of rain. So perhaps not as thoroughly as we could have. Almost immediately we were under siege. Shuffling, scuffling, snuffling, scratching. Stuff being knocked about. So I sighed, went back out and put away the picnic mat that had been half dug up, brought the food box containing our breakfast croissants into the inner sleeping part of the tent, and went to sleep. There was still a lot of activity but my wife just banged on the fabric 'wall' between us and the party in the living area. Getting sniffed is all part of the experience. The next night we left all the food stuff in the car (a long way away). There was still a good deal of scurrying. I tried to look a bit but couldn't see anything. Day two of the croissant siege was a little calmer. What visitors were we having? There were a lot of birds supervising our meals, waiting for crumbs. It was in a woods. On the… No comments yet.
