Like the rest of the country, and the world I suppose, we’ve had about a week of very hot temperatures. Hot enough so they’ve told the elderly to stay inside in air conditioning. I don’t feel elderly unless I spend time looking through the past, but I’ve followed instructions for the most part. I’ve waited until almost sundown when it was “cooler” to be outside. Actually it wasn’t any cooler but at least the sun wasn’t beating down on me if I went to the right place. One of the places I went is seen here; along the powerlines where I grew up. I saw a rabbit on that trail in this view but he saw me first, so no photo. But rabbit or not, just look at all the plants that grow here. What is really amazing is how this was bare ground last November, having been all cut down by the power company. The Ashuelot River is just behind those trees on the left.
