In the midst of a historic heatwave on continental Europe, I am here, bemoaning the lack of standing fans, ceiling fans, AC and housing infrastructure that expels, not keeps, heat. I started my trip in Paris, which is always a fun stop for family and friends, then headed to Geneva for UN AI for Good. I was invited to speak at a workshop on AI Testing and Evaluations, and I gave a talk named "Beyond Responsible AI", where I argued that the people who should be testing AI the most (people that AI impacts) don't get to; and proposed some recommendations on how we can do that. The same week, also in Geneva, I also spoke on a WomenInGenAI panel at the WSIS Forum, "Responsible GenAI in Public Services: From Policy Principles to Deployable Workflows." With my co-panelists, we discussed challenges and practices with deploying AI in government, healthcare, education and more.
