Patreon Post: Shadow of a Man (1965) by Doris Miles Disney

I read my first Doris Miles Disney mystery back in 2017. It was Family Skeleton (1949), and it featured her series sleuth, an insurance claim investigator, Jeff DiMarco. This is a brilliant read, and one I can highly recommend. Off the back of this I bought myself a job lot of several other titles by this author. Yet to varying degrees none of these books have lived up to that original book. Has anyone else had something similar happen to them?
