How did they reshape and rule the city’s business and social worlds while leaving a lasting impact on the city of today? Starting July 29 at 7 pm, join Ephemeral New York in a live online class series, Great Families of New York’s Gilded Age. Each one-hour class will delve into how each family became so instrumental, what their lives and relationships were like, and what happened as older generations passed (or withheld) their power to sons, daughters, and grandchildren. The class series—offered in once a week online, real-time Zoom sessions from 7-8 pm in partnership with Roundtable by the 92nd Street Y—begins on July 29 and runs through August 26.
