2026 Week 28 Digest

A week of more computer stuff, sports, hard sci-fi novels, and zelda. I've been trying to rest and catch up on chores. Mood hasn't been great though because of being stressed about going to visit my family for a long weekend. I'll be flying there on Friday and coming back on Monday. So I'm packing as I write this. I haven't been exactly sleeping well due to the stress so I've gotten a lot of reading done. I also had the very foolhardy idea of wiping and reinstalling my laptop to resolve the repeated update issues I've been dealing with. Well the erase and reinstall went fine, but getting the laptop set back up again was excruciating. It would make life so much easier if all programs stored all their configs in ~/.config or /etc/ but they don't. It took about eight hours from start to finish in terms of getting all my essential programs installed and set up and working.
