I read a super good @andsoluke comic on Instagram today and it made me think about all the things I didn't know when I was a kid. It also made me think of all the things I did know but didn't understand, and all the things I understood one way when I was a kid but which morphed and evolved over time. My conception of love, say. When I was a little kid, love really only means one or two things. When you become an adult, love means a lot of other things, and then those things start to mean multiple things. Anyway, no spoilers but if you click through you'll see that the kid in the comic observes something about adult life, and talks about it, but because he can't understand what he's actually observing there's a limit to what that moment even means.
