This is a response to Popcar’s blog post about PlayStation’s announcement that they’ll stop producing discs for new games in January 2028. In this post I’m going to expand some of their points to zines. Zines are the opposite of digital, corporate-controlled media, so they show what we lose when we don’t own physical media.
