The review should have been lost in some other piles of paper, but there it was. I had done a print-out at the time. Rick Kleffel from his blog The Agony Column. A quick check — I figured it was ancient history — finds the literary blog very much active with a YouTube channel on the side. But an equally quick prowl in his archives doesn’t turn up the column I could link to. If you want to try it, the title was “From Whip Hand to Dallas, One Book’s Journey from Cheese to Choice” — The Agony Column — June 30, 2003. In the paragraph I copied. Kleffel describes his discovery of Deliver Me from Dallas (originally released as Whip Hand, without Wlleford’s knowledge). Dennis McMillan told him that I covered the topic in Willeford.
