Keep blogging, don't worry

I love science fiction movies, so I was quite excited when I went to see Disclosure Day. That excitement quickly faded. It wasn't a bad movie, but not what I'd hoped for. I'm sure you've felt the same several times, and not just with movies. Books, restaurants, music, places, parties... The reality not living up to our expectations. How about blogging? Do you have expectations for what your blog should bring you? A name, more subscribers, a steadily growing number of readers... If you do, don't. You will only end up disappointed. That doesn't mean you can't have plans and set up goals, or even visualize that it will happen. Just don't expect that it will come true. Goals can be good, and expectations evil. If you're happy about where your blog is today, and you really should be, then you're a successful blogger, no matter what the stats say. Don't worry. Keep blogging.
