Larina is a Dragon Magazine witch. But not in the way that you might initially think. My witch class and Larina went through many design phases and had many influences, as I have talked about here, but the truth of the matter is her genesis and my witch class's evolution owe a lot to the pages of Dragon Magazine, all long before Dragon #114 landed on the store shelves and ultimately my gaming table. So for today's "This Old Dragon," I am not going to do a deep dive into one issue, but rather the issues between Dragon #85 and Dragon #114, 1984 to 1986, not just some of my prime AD&D playing years, but when I did the most work on my various classes.Since this is also a bit of an "In Search Of..." post in tone and flavor, I'll explain why this search is important to me.Now, keep in mind, I did not read every Dragon when I got them and think, "What can I add to my witch?"
