Blocky Update: DNSSEC, Microsoft Domains, and a Lesson in Timing

blocky is a DNS proxy and ad blocker that I’ve been running for about 6 months. I found it much simpler to set up and configure than Pi-hole or AdGuard. Yesterday morning I updated from 0.28.2 to 0.33.0 and that's when things started breaking for me. Some Microsoft domains failed to resolve, mail stopped arriving and I noticed some odd behaviour with Intune and Autopilot. I ended up downgrading back to 0.28.2 as I should have been working and not playing with my homeLab :) When I had a moment, I looked through GitHub issues turns out the problem is with DNSSEC and I have this enabled. Issue #2120 Fortunately, a fix has already been merged PR #2158, so it’s just a matter of waiting for the next release. Lesson here is not to update your homeLab 15 minutes before starting work :D
