Barn in Early Snow

Duncan Rawlinson photographed this rural Ontario scene from above during the fall of 2018. A weathered wooden barn sits alone in a field dusted with the season’s first snow, surrounded by trees still holding their autumn yellows and greens. The aerial perspective reveals the structure’s isolation and the patchwork of color and white across the ground. Nearby homes and a road trace the edges of the frame.
