Yes, I have read your blog

Since I started getting back into RSS and blogs I have been reading them every day through my RSS reader app on Android. This has been set up to pull in the blog content and I usually read it in-app for convenience. In February Mastofeed stopped working with my Mastodon server and my efforts in resolving the issue have so far been in vain. This meant that my usual metric for judging readership - the conversation - hasn't been working so I've resorted to looking at analytics, this is fine I suppose but it feels more like vanity vs. genuine interaction with you. Then it occurred to me that if I'm pulling in content through RSS then to the analytics there isn't really much difference between a subscriber and a reader, someone who took the time to read the post. So I've been making more of an effort to click through all the posts I read so I can see them as you intended, on your website and y'know what, I also get to enjoy the varied and interesting web designs you've put so much effort…
