Blockhouse Island Waterfront Spring

Duncan Rawlinson photographed this aerial view of Blockhouse Island and the Tall Ships Landing Coastal Resort in Brockville, Ontario, during spring 2025. The frame looks down over the marina, the tall residential tower, and the surrounding waterfront properties where the St. Lawrence River meets the developed shoreline of the 1000 Islands region. Fresh green foliage fills the residential blocks inland, while boats rest at their slips along the protected docks. The late-afternoon light brings out the architectural detail of the high-rise and the varied rooflines of the historic downtown core.
