It is true. My stats don’t lie. Whilst I seem to have a small core group of regular readers and followers (exceptionally groovy people, each and every one), the number of views on this site is slowly but inexorably waning. Additionally, I have not had a single new subscriber in months (see the bottom of this post to rectify that!) I think this is due to to factors: I am not active on the mainstream social media platforms such as X, Facebook, Instagram etc. And that is where most people go to access the interwebs1. Search engines such as Google are now placing AI generated information at the top of their result pages. (And future transition seems to be one of overwhelming AI entanglement). Followed by sponsored results. Any hope of discovering independently produced content is slim to nix. So.
