That was how I first got paid to spend my time around movies. Those stores did rentals, with return bins, late fees, rewinding, and customers looking for whatever was still on the shelf on a Friday night. They were great places to work, but when a job opened up at Suncoast in my new local mall, I took it. It was still in the video business, which I had come to enjoy, but it payed more. Suncoast felt different from those rental stores right away. Their business was built around ownership, not borrowing. People were not just looking for something to watch that night. These were videos people wanted to own, collect, and display.
