There are passkeys and MFA prompts. There is the backup drive I definitely meant to check more recently than I actually did. There is cloud storage, a router, email aliases, subscriptions, a phone full of banking apps and health data, and a browser profile that knows more about my habits than I probably want to admit. Add a domain name, this website, a few automations, and some smart home gear, and “my stuff” starts looking less like a drawer full of gadgets and more like a small stack that needs an owner.I do not mean everyone needs to turn their home into a miniature IT department. That sounds miserable, and most people already have enough maintenance work hiding in normal life.
