Week 27

Life Notes Monday was a day off, already can’t quite remember what I did with it. Oh yes, a wander round the shops and some sushi. Nice to hang out with my beautiful wife, sans Jack for a change. Tuesday was the day of the Alanis Morissette gig, and it was glorious. The weather held, the crowd was in good spirits, and OMG what a voice. I was fully in bits, tears streaming down my face at one point. Not that that is anything unusual but this was much more specific that my usual overwhelm around the joy of live music and people being nice to each other etc. Skunk Anansie ripped faces off, Wet Leg bounced around a bit and were pretty catchy, and I had 5 pints of cider! Easily the most alcohol I’ve drank since… ummm… for several months! A birthday party for a 5 year old yesterday. A horde of kids charging around with a bouncy castle, and other inflatable things. and somehow I ended up on the floor with a huge pile of cushioned blocks and kids jumping on me. Yup, I’m THAT Dad. What fun!…
