Day 142: Halloween Done Right

2026-06-28Hello! While sorting through my digital pile of files and folders, I found these old images from a New York City photoshoot.With professional gear that I borrowed for this event, I pointed the camera and got in close to a model dressed up all sinister. They had covered their entire face in bright makeup that seemed resistant to sweat.With a line of cameras and lenses to choose from, I selected some gear and photographed the models attending this event.This model was placed in a windowless portion of the room. I imagine they were getting bored doing the same thing for hours.Someone next to me suggested for the model to point the prop knives down the lens and stick their tongue out, which made for an awesome photograph. I'd like to think they had some fun with the prompts, getting in character more with inspiration than with experience.I registered for this event for free as a photography student in New York City, and I cleared my schedule to attend.
