Blue Hour at the Subway Depot 0 ▲ atmtx photo blog 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments Subways at Rest – Flushing, New York Happy 250th Birthday to the United States Leaving the US Open Site, there is a bridge that spans the subway depot on the way to the station. I shot all these Number 7 subway trains at rest and a nice remnant of the blue hour to boot. You can see the glowing tennis stadium on the left. The closest subway station is the Mets-Willets Point. The US Open complex is south of the station, and Citi Field, where the NY Mets baseball team plays, is north of the station. We were headed west back into Manhattan, getting off at Grand Central Station, about a 30-minute ride. I’m always a bit careful, security-wise, riding the NYC subway. Still, it was comfortingly crowded heading back into the city. We felt safe among the crowd. Blog readers, you’ll love my free monthly photography magazine.
