Dag Johan Haugerud’s Sex, Dreams, Love trilogy of films—each titled, appropriately, Sex, Drømmer (Dreams), and Kjærlighet (Love)—have been on my mind. Like, a lot. The films themselves are tender, beautifully shot, and they each approach their subject matter with a nuance and maturity that feels, frankly, refreshing. The effect they had on me while I was watching them was powerful. And interestingly enough, as much as I love those films and treasure my experiences watching them, it was the moments in-between and long after each viewing that prompted me to think more about my relationship to them and to art,… No comments yet.
