But there’s also a man on the bench admiring the view. As I didn’t want to disturb him, I was heading for the trash in the open first. I say sort of, and walk over. He tells me he usually picks stuff up from here himself and puts it in the bin, and we both turn to look. “I mean, it’s right there.” I shift a brick with my foot and lift out a glut of crushed cans stashed beneath it. Seems like freeing a brick from mortar is easier than walking 5 paces to a bin. — Driving home from band practice, I see the moon. One of those car crash moons that grabs your attention: huge and orange, low on the horizon. It’s a full moon tomorrow. Tuesday “Oi! Getcha’ arse up that hill! You only need to walk across the park!” A shriek of laughter as she turns, “I can’t do it! No! Not at this time in the morning!” I knew she’d laugh.
