My Safeway Club Card is older than my adult child 0 ▲ laze.net 1 hour ago · Life · hide · 0 comments Yesterday I went to Safeway–a grocery store in town we only go to once or twice a year–because they’re the only store in the area currently carrying the (very good) Waterloo Root Beer Float seltzer. Safeway was our primary our first year-and-a-half out of college, from 1998-2000 when we lived closer to the city, so we had a frequent shopper card tied to our phone number. I never bothered setting up a new card when we moved, so for the last 26 years I’ve been using the same Safeway Club Card. And despite the fact I can’t recite my daughter’s current cell phone number, I still remember the landline we had almost three decades ago for a mere 18 months. This amuses me greatly and makes me wonder just a bit what might have gotten pushed out of my head to make room for that fact. No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse.
