This was after going years of no diagnosis despite having an average A1C of around 7.2 since ~2017.Around that same time, my mom passed away of complications stemming from her MS treatment.My mom's MS started manifesting as numbness in her extremities. This progressed to waves of numbness across large parts of her body.For about nine-or-so months, I've been experiencing a persistent numbness in my left heel along with short sharp shocks when stepping on my heel wrong. Furthermore, I've had waves of numbness in my right hand and the top of my right foot. I talked about these symptoms – along with my family's history with MS – with my endocrinologist and primary care physician and they were both concerned. Especially given the rigorous control I've exercised over my blood sugar now that I've been given the tools needed to make informed decisions over my care.So, with that said, I got an appointment to see a podiatrist at… No comments yet.
