This is not my camera!Using a compact fixed-lens camera borrowed from a friend, I captured the underside of my blue umbrella at close distance. The black stretchers reflect the green of the grass floor below as the rainy sky drops rain from above.I went to a park and wandered around for about two hours with this camera. It was my first time using it, and I was drawn to three things: its waterproof capability, its close focusing distance, and its small size.I used a mixture of all three traits to take this photo. Because it has ingress protection from water, I was unbothered taking it on a rainy day without a sleeve or careful handling. Because I forgot to get a hooded jacket, I'm under an umbrella here. The rain wasn't even that heavy. The umbrella stretchers and central pole are super close to the camera, at a tiny distance that my usual camera kit wouldn't be able to focus at, with that ultrawide look.
