Your Metablogging is Lame as Hell

If you were to make a discovery feed bingo card, what do you think would fill up the squares? Some post that could basically be summarized in the sentence "lol, just blog, queen!"? Some post jacking off how great Bear is for the upteenth time1? How someone quit social media and got their life back? I found this article from 2 years ago and it still feels relevant today. It may seem ironic of me to be criticizing metablogging, when I've probably done it a couple times. Hell this post might even be considered metablogging. Something something criticizing society something something living in one. Metablogging, to me, has 2 definitions. Meta-blogging, i.e. the self-referential sorta way (blogging about bear itself, or the act of blogging). Or metablogging in the sense of trying to make your post fit all the checkmarks of what hits the top of the discover feed.
