New Spider Just Dropped

In some work headed by Macquarie Uni, a new species of spider was discovered in Northern Queensland (With a really cool hunting strategy). See this spider (dubbed the ballista spider) hunts green ants, the really angry, territorial green ants with a nasty venomous bite. In order to hunt these ants safely, the ballista spider builds a silk slingshot, to catapult its prey into its web. It streatches its web from a tree branch to a leaf, attatching it to a spot, then repeats the process a whole bunch of times to increase the strength of the slingshot. Then is squeezes some tasty pheramones (my words not theirs) to trick the ant into biting the anchor point, launching it upwards at 4732.89 m/s2 and max velocity of 13.47m/s.
