Hurray for the Knicks

The New York Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs to win the NBA Championship this past month. I said to my youngest brother that this was my new favorite non-Boston championship. The Knicks were unstoppable in their incredible run. I was swept up in New York City's immaculate vibes, Sidetalk, and Mayor Zohran Mamdani repealing bedtimes for children. What are those other non-Boston championships that thrilled me? 4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2021). When Tom Brady left the New England Patriots and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, I knew I'd be watching him from afar. When he got to yet another Super Bowl in 2021, he and his team were the easy choice to root for. 3. Chicago Cubs (2016). Like the Red Sox in 2004, this baseball team had a long gap since their last World Series win (1908).
