Top Ten (seven) most anticipated books

It's the end of the first half of the year, can you believe it? It feels like just yesterday we were all amazed we had made it to 2025, and now we're half way through 2026! And it's Tuesday, which means it's Top Ten Tuesday. Quick reminder about what this is: The Atsy Reader Girl's Top Ten Tuesday has a prompt every week to share books. In honor of the end of 2026 half number 1, the prompt today is to pick ten books releasing anytime from July 1 – December 31 of this year that you’re the most excited to read, which was actually surprisingly tough. I'm trying really hard not to buy more books right now (I'm also failing at that, but that's another topic) because I have more books than I have bookshelves, and I generally don't keep up with new or upcoming books except from my favorite authors. So I only have seven. There are a couple on this list that are new-to-me authors (marked with asterisks) that sounded right up my ally, but the majority are favorites or writers I follow.…
